Karen Giloyan Returns to “Urartu” and Becomes Head of the Basketball Club

The basketball club “Urartu” has officially announced the appointment of a new president. The team will once again be led by Karen Giloyan, who previously held this position and now returns with ambitious plans.

Under his leadership, the club is preparing for the start of the Armenian A League Championship, which kicks off in November. According to Giloyan, the main goal of “Urartu” is to regain its former status and reputation, as well as to deliver spectacular and competitive basketball to the fans.

“Our task is to build a strong team that will delight the fans and fight for high results. I am confident that through joint efforts we will be able to achieve new successes,” emphasized the president of the club.

In addition to sporting goals, “Urartu” intends to actively contribute to the development of basketball in Armenia and to strengthen the country’s position on the international stage.

The squad and coaching staff will be announced in the coming days.
