Football fever in Budapest has reached its peak: all tickets for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Hungary and Armenia were sold out by the second day of sales. The match will take place on Saturday, October 11, at Puskás Aréna, kicking off at 18:00 local time.
Ticket sales began on September 22 at 10:00. On the first day, only members of the MLSZ supporters’ club with “gold” status had the opportunity to purchase tickets. On September 23, a pre-sale window opened for the rest of the club members. However, the demand was so overwhelming that by the evening of September 23 no seats were left. As a result, the general sale scheduled for September 25 never happened.
Tickets were distributed exclusively through official channels — the website meccsjegy.mlsz.hu, the supporters’ club platform, and the official mobile app for iOS and Android. According to the rules, one transaction allowed the purchase of up to four tickets, with one of them required to be registered under the buyer’s name.
For fans traveling from Armenia, the match in Budapest promises to be a true football celebration. With a capacity of over 65,000 spectators, Puskás Aréna is expected to be filled to the brim, creating a fiery atmosphere for both teams.
