Armenian boxer Azat Hovhannisyan (21-5) returns to the ring to face one of Mexico’s most promising young fighters — Sebastian Reyes (19-0). Their 8-round super bantamweight bout will take place on the night of May 10 to 11 in San Diego, USA.
For Hovhannisyan, this is a chance to break a two-fight losing streak — in his previous bouts, he was defeated by Luis Nery (36-2) and Alan Picasso (31-0-1), both representing Mexico. Notably, his fight with Nery was named the 2023 Fight of the Year.
In addition to the Hovhannisyan vs. Reyes bout, the boxing evening will feature two title fights:
-
Raymond Muratalla (22-0) vs. Zaur Abdullaev (20-1) — for the vacant IBF lightweight title.
-
Emanuel Navarrete (39-2-1) vs. Charly Suarez (18-0) — for the WBO super featherweight title.
The boxing event in San Diego will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
