Armenian weightlifters continue their successful performances at the European Youth Championships being held in Kosovo.

Competing in the boys’ 85 kg weight category, Armenian national team member Harutyun Avetisyan delivered a strong performance in the snatch. He successfully completed all three attempts, lifting 133 kg, 138 kg and 141 kg. His best result of 141 kg earned him first place and the gold medal in the snatch.

In the clean and jerk, Avetisyan successfully lifted 160 kg and 168 kg. With a result of 168 kg, he finished third in the event.

With a combined total of 309 kg, Harutyun Avetisyan secured third place overall and became a bronze medalist at the European Youth Championships.
