Artur Zakharyan Ends Season in France on a High Note

Artur Zakharyan’s team, Stade Briochin, secured promotion two weeks early by winning their group in the fourth division of the French Championship (Championnat National 2).
But Stade Briochin didn’t stop there. In the final round, they defeated Saint-Pryvé 4–3, with 27-year-old Armenian midfielder Artur Zakharyan scoring the opening goal of the match.
Zakharyan finishes the season with 8 goals and 7 assists in 37 appearances. Next season, Stade Briochin will compete in the French third division. It will be Zakharyan’s debut at such a high level, but his confident performances against Nice and PSG in the French Cup suggest he may be capable of even more.
