Artur Petrosyan wins silver at European U17 Weightlifting Championships

Armenian weightlifter Artur Petrosyan, competing in the 60 kg weight category, won the silver medal at the European U17 Championships currently taking place in Kosovo.

Petrosyan finished second in both lifts and recorded a total of 241 kg. The gold medal went to Russia’s Yevgeny Butuzov, who posted a total of 246 kg.

Another Armenian representative in the same weight category, Varuzhan Harutyunyan, narrowly missed out on the podium. With a total of 228 kg, he finished fourth.

Artur Petrosyan’s silver became Armenia’s second medal at the European U17 Championships.
