Armenia national team player Artur Melkonyan has won the Russian futsal championship with Ukhta. His team confidently completed the Super League final series against Tyumen, represented by Denis Nevedrov, and became national champions.
Ukhta won the final series 4-0. In the last two matches of the confrontation, Melkonyan’s team claimed victories by the same scoreline — 6-2. In today’s match, Ukhta’s fifth goal came after Artur’s shot hit the post, with the ball eventually ending up in the net after the rebound.
Another Armenia national team player, Denis Nevedrov, finished the season with silver medals. The Tyumen futsal player started both of the final two matches and was one of the leaders of his team. Nevedrov scored in the previous game, while today he registered a goal and an assist. However, his productive performance was not enough for Tyumen to win at least one match in the final series.
Armenia captain Vladimir Sanosyan finished the season without a medal. His team, Norilsk Nickel, lost to KPRF in the battle for third place. In the final match of the bronze-medal series, Sanosyan’s side suffered a 3-1 defeat, with KPRF winning the series 3-0 overall.
Sanosyan played in the hosts’ second quartet and came close to scoring, but Norilsk Nickel were unable to extend the fight for bronze medals.
Thus, three Armenia national team players finished the Russian futsal Super League season in decisive series: Artur Melkonyan became champion, Denis Nevedrov won silver, and Vladimir Sanosyan stopped one step away from bronze.
