In the 4th round of the Russian Cup group stage, CSKA Moscow and Baltika Kaliningrad drew 1-1, but Baltika claimed victory in the penalty shootout with a score of 10-9.
The only goal for CSKA came in the 38th minute when Tamerlan Musaev converted a precise cross from Artyom Bandikyan.
The 19-year-old midfielder of Armenia’s U21 national team started the match in CSKA’s lineup and provided an assist. This was already Bandikyan’s second assist in the tournament. After regular time, Bandikyan also successfully converted a penalty, but it was not enough for his team to win. The shootout went as far as the goalkeepers, where Baltika’s Ivan Kukushkin proved more accurate than Vladislav Torop.
After four rounds, CSKA sit second in Group D with 8 points.
