Armenia international Artem Bandikyan was named in CSKA Moscow’s starting lineup for their Russian Cup group-stage Matchday 3 clash against Rostov.
Bandikyan played as a defensive midfielder and spent 77 minutes on the pitch. CSKA suffered a 2-0 defeat.
After three rounds, CSKA sit fourth in their group with two points.
For Bandikyan, it was his second appearance of the current season. Both of his outings have come in the Russian Cup.
CSKA’s first-choice right-back Milan Gajić suffered an injury during the match against Rostov. Should he miss the upcoming fixtures, Bandikyan could have an additional opportunity to earn playing time in the Russian league.
