Artak Yedigaryan has retired from football

35-year-old midfielder Artak Yedigaryan has announced his retirement from professional football. The experienced player's last club was Gandzasar, where he played 11 matches in the recently concluded season.
A product of Yerevan’s Pyunik, Yedigaryan played for several clubs throughout his career, but made his biggest impact at Alashkert. He featured in 238 matches for the team, scoring 52 goals and providing 46 assists.
Artak also had spells abroad — with Žalgiris in Lithuania and Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine.
For the Armenian national team, the midfielder earned 32 caps, scoring one goal and registering one assist.
