Arsen Julfalakyan wins silver at the Pan-American Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship

Legendary Armenian wrestler Arsen Julfalakyan, competing in the 77 kg weight category, won the silver medal at the Pan-American Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship. In the final, the 38-year-old wrestler of Armenian descent, representing Argentina, lost to American Kamal Bey with a score of 7–11.

During the final bout, Julfalakyan was trailing 0–7 but managed to even the score at 7–7. However, in the final moments, he lost the initiative and finished in second place. This was Julfalakyan’s second loss to Bey.

On his way to the final, Arsen Julfalakyan secured two early victories, confidently defeating opponents from Honduras and Venezuela.

In the 130 kg weight category, Eduard Soghomonyan, representing Brazil, competed for a bronze medal but lost to Venezuelan Moisés Hellburg with a score of 0–6.
