In Sochi, at the Alexander Karelin Sports Complex, a festive freestyle wrestling training session was held with the participation of four-time European champion Arsen Harutyunyan (Armenia). The event was organized in celebration of the 21st anniversary of the Sochi Wrestling Federation’s founding.
The training began with a ceremonial welcome for the renowned athlete. During the lineup, a special award from Federation President Ruben Tatulyan was presented to Andrey Chakeryan, silver medalist of the Russian U20 Championship.
Arsen Harutyunyan demonstrated a set of warm-up exercises to the young wrestlers, showcased his signature techniques with high-level execution, and thoroughly explained the technical elements that lead to successful throws and holds. At the end of the session, he spoke with the participants, answered their questions, and happily took photos with the next generation of wrestlers.
