Four-time European champion Arsen Harutyunyan (61 kg) has reached the finals of the 2025 European Wrestling Championship, where he will face Russia’s Zaur Uguev tomorrow.
Semifinal Triumph Over Abakarov
In a tense semifinal, Harutyunyan defeated Chechen wrestler from Albania, Zelimkhan Abakarov, with a score of 5-2. Interestingly, in the 2023 European Championship final, the Armenian wrestler also defeated Abakarov with the same result.
In the other semifinal, Zaur Uguev dominated Belarus’s Dmitry Shamela with a 10-0 victory.
