Armenian Powerlifter Narek Rafaelyan Sets World Record in Bench Press

Armenian powerlifter Narek Rafaelyan has set a new world record in the bench press at a competition held in Moscow on October 3.
The athlete successfully lifted 180 kg, setting a world record under the World Raw Powerlifting Federation (WRPF).
Rafaelyan achieved this historic result in the 17–19 age group and the up to 110 kg weight category. The record was set in the raw bench press discipline with drug testing (WRPF Bench Press Raw Drug Tested).
What makes the Armenian athlete's achievement particularly significant is that the previous world record in this category had stood since 2016. Rafaelyan surpassed a mark that had remained unbeaten for ten years.
Narek Rafaelyan's achievement was officially confirmed by a WRPF/WEPF record certificate issued following the competition in Moscow.
