Armenian alpine skier Gleb Mosesov finishes fifth in Germany during preparation for the 2026 Olympics

Armenian alpine skier Gleb Mosesov continues his active preparation for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games by competing in international slalom events across Europe.

Since the beginning of January, Mosesov has taken part in four tournaments, all featuring extremely strong competition, with around 100 athletes competing in each event.

• January 2, 2026 — Kühtai Slalom (Austria) — 17th place
• January 3, 2026 — Telfs Seewaldalm Slalom (Austria) — 13th place
• January 4, 2026 — Berchtesgaden Slalom (Germany) — 5th place
• January 7, 2026 — Valle di Casies Slalom (Italy) — 17th place

The Armenian athlete achieved his best result in Berchtesgaden, Germany, where he finished fifth, confirming a high level of readiness ahead of the pre-Olympic season.

It is worth recalling that Gleb Mosesov made history for Armenian alpine skiing by becoming the first athlete from the country to reach the final of a World Championship. In 2025, he achieved this in two disciplines — slalom and giant slalom — which earned him an Olympic quota and secured Armenia’s participation in the 2026 Winter Games. Mosesov will compete at the Olympics for the first time.

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo will take place from February 6 to February 22.
