Armenian chess players continue their successful performances at the “Kazakhstan Chess Cup 2025”

Armenian participants are demonstrating confident play at the round-robin tournament “Kazakhstan Chess Cup 2025,” currently taking place in Almaty.
In the men’s event, Grandmaster Aram Hakobyan has scored 4.5 points out of 7 after seven rounds and is leading the tournament standings on his own. His consistent performances allow him to maintain his leadership ahead of the final stage of the competition.
In the women’s section, International Master Mariam Mkrtchyan is also showing a strong result: with 5 points out of 7, she shares 1st–2nd place with Mongolia’s Batchuulun Munguntuul. The fight for the lead in the women’s tournament remains intense.
Four rounds remain until the end of the competition. The tournament will conclude on December 12. Armenian chess players continue to compete for the prizes and maintain strong chances of success.
