Armenian karate athletes to compete in 2025 World Championship qualifiers

The 2025 European Karate Championship took place in Yerevan from May 7 to 11, where two Armenian athletes earned important ranking points to qualify for the World Championship.
The Armenian national karate team, led by Federation President Vazgen Harutyunyan, has traveled to Paris to participate in the qualification stage of the 2025 World Championship. Two team members — Gor Nersisyan and Yura Zalyan — have already secured their spots at the global tournament, which will be held from November 27 to 30 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
Yura Zalyan will compete in the under 60 kg weight category, while Gor Nersisyan will compete in the under 84 kg category.
The remaining team members — Lena Gyulumyan, Anita Makyan, Suren Harutyunyan, and Mikhail Mkhitaryan — will fight for qualification during the tournament to be held in Paris from October 17 to 19.
