Armenian Wrestlers Open New German Bundesliga Season with Perfect Record

The opening round of the new German Wrestling Bundesliga season took place on September 5–6. Once again, several Armenian wrestlers are competing for German clubs, and they enjoyed a flawless start by winning all of their matches.
Results of Armenian wrestlers in Round 1:
- Malkhas Amoyan (Reilingen, 80 kg) defeated Moldova's Mihai Petic 3-1.
- Albert Vardanyan (Reilingen, 130 kg) beat Germany's Nikita Ovsyannikov 3-1.
- Karen Aslanyan (Weingarten, 66 kg) defeated Germany's Abdolmohammad Papi 3-1.
- Shant Khachatryan (Weingarten, 75 kg) beat Armenian-born Polish representative Gevork Sahakyan 8-3.
- Samvel Terteryan (Heusbach, 80 kg) defeated Germany's Samuel Belscheidt 2-0.
- Norik Harutyunyan (Baienfurt, 61 kg) dominated Germany's Kian Weiskirscher 16-0.
- Arsen Balayan (Weingarten, Russia, 98 kg) cruised past Germany's Robin Ferdinand 16-0.
- Arman Eloyan (Riegelsberg, France, 61 kg) defeated Hungary's Karoly Barath 15-0.
As a result, Armenian wrestlers opened the new German Bundesliga season with a perfect record, claiming eight victories in eight bouts.
The second round of the Bundesliga will take place on September 12.
