Armenian wrestlers to compete at the Aksyonov Memorial in Novosibirsk

On September 27–28, the traditional Greco-Roman wrestling Aksyonov Memorial, dedicated to Hero of the Soviet Union Alexander Aksyonov, will be held at the “Sibir Arena” in Novosibirsk. The 2025 edition will bring together athletes from 11 countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Russia.
Team Armenia has entered five wrestlers for the competition:

55 kg — Norayr Hakhoyan

72 kg — Shant Khachatryan

82 kg — Martik Petrosyan

87 kg — Karen Khachatryan, Gevorg Tadevosyan
Tournament schedule (Moscow time):

September 27 (Saturday) — from 06:00, preliminary bouts in all weight categories.

September 28 (Sunday) — from 06:00, repechage and bronze medal matches, at 09:00 the official opening ceremony, followed by the finals.
The Aksyonov Memorial is traditionally one of the most prestigious tournaments in the Greco-Roman wrestling calendar, bringing together top athletes from different countries.
The event will be broadcast live on Wrestling TV.
