Armenian club Unisport thrash Reykjavik 14-1 in UEFA Champions League

Armenian futsal champions Unisport claimed their second victory in the preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League.
In their second Group E match, played in Yerevan on August 27, the Armenian side thrashed Icelandic club Reykjavik 14-1.
Nine Unisport players got on the scoresheet. Renato Bamba completed a hat-trick, while Garegin Mashumyan and Hamlet Manukyan scored twice each. Mihran Dermenjyan, Rafik Melikyan, Artur Melkonyan, Narek Galstyan, Sargis Margaryan and Putrus Vasiliev added one goal apiece. Reykjavik also scored an own goal.
The Icelandic side’s only goal was scored by Spaniard Unai Fernandez.
As a reminder, Unisport comfortably defeated Estonian club Tallinn 5-1 in their opening match of the tournament.
In the other Group E match of the second round, Germany’s Weilimdorf also secured a convincing victory, beating Tallinn 7-2. In the opening round, the German side thrashed Reykjavik 13-1.
As a result, first place in the group will be decided in the head-to-head clash between Unisport and Weilimdorf. The match will take place on August 29.
All Group E matches in the UEFA Champions League preliminary round are being played in Yerevan.
