Armenia won 11 medals at the IMMAF Youth MMA World Championships 2025 in Abu Dhabi

On July 27, the IMMAF Youth MMA World Championships 2025 concluded in Abu Dhabi, featuring age categories U11, U13, U15, and U17. The Armenian national team claimed 11 medals — 2 gold, 4 silver, and 5 bronze.
Gold medals:
• Davit Sevlikyan — 67 kg (Boys U15)
• Monika Asryan — 34 kg (Girls U13)
Silver medals:
• Zaliko Petrosyan — 88.4 kg (Boys U17)
• Misha Simonyan — 37 kg (Boys U13)
• Mark Ghambaryan — 34 kg (Boys U11)
• Tigran Kocharyan — 27 kg (Boys U11)
Bronze medals:
• Hamlet Aslanyan — 70.3 kg (Boys U17)
• Ruben Sargsyan — 31 kg (Boys U13)
• Davit Gasparyan — 52 kg (Boys U13)
• Artak Melkonyan — 34 kg (Boys U11)
• Sofi Khachatryan — 62 kg (Girls U13)
IMMAF Youth World Championships medal standings
In the overall medal standings across all age categories, Ukraine’s team emerged as the winner.

Special mention goes to Davit Sevlikyan, who became the Youth MMA World Champion in the U15 category. At the tournament held in the UAE, the Armenian fighter secured five victories — three by submission and two by judges’ decision. He defeated opponents from Brazil, Palestine, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine in the final.
Sevlikyan is already the reigning European U15 champion, the 2024 World U15 bronze medalist, and the U13 world champion.
