Armenia Wins the Medal Standings at the 2026 European Weightlifting Championships

On April 26, the 2026 European Weightlifting Championships concluded in Batumi (Georgia). Following the results of the tournament, Armenia’s men’s national team took first place in the medal standings, while the women’s team finished third.
Confident Victory for the Men
The Armenian men’s national team demonstrated a high level of performance, winning 2 major gold medals (6 in total) and scoring 567 ranking points. This allowed them to surpass the teams of Bulgaria and Turkey.
Men’s Team Ranking:
- Armenia — 567 points

Women’s Team Among the Top Three
The Armenian women’s team also performed достойно (strongly), finishing in third place with one major gold and one major silver medal.
