The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA), together with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), has announced the start of team selection to represent Armenia at the Unity EURO Cup 2025 tournament.
The competition will be held in October in the Netherlands and is part of a joint UEFA–UNHCR initiative aimed at promoting refugee integration through football.
Refugees aged 18 to 40 — both men and women — with football experience are invited to apply. The main requirements for candidates are:
- official refugee status and supporting documentation,
- permanent residence in the Republic of Armenia,
- possession of a travel document,
- willingness to participate in two training sessions per week (each lasting two hours),
- readiness for a three-day trip to the Netherlands in October this year.
Armenia previously participated in the Unity EURO Cup in 2023 and 2024. In 2024, the Armenian refugee team finished in 5th place.
