Armenia U21 end nine-match losing streak and earn first point in EURO 2027 qualifying

Armenia U21 completed their EURO 2027 qualifying campaign with a 1-1 away draw against Montenegro U21. It was the Armenian team's first and only point of the qualifying campaign.
Before the match in Podgorica, Armen Gyulbudaghyants' side had suffered nine consecutive defeats.
Montenegro opened the scoring in the 20th minute through Perišić. The hosts had the better of the first half, but Armenia improved significantly after the break and managed to change the course of the game.
In the 65th minute, Davit Hakobyan equalised following an assist from Suren Tsarukyan to make it 1-1. It was Hakobyan's second goal of the EURO 2027 qualifying campaign.
Armenia were much more active in the second half and did not allow Montenegro to regain the lead. According to the final statistics, both teams registered 14 attempts, while Armenia won six corners compared to Montenegro's five.

Montenegro are third with 12 points. Poland won the group with an impressive 28 points, while Italy finished second on 25.
