The opponents of Armenia’s U19 national team in the opening stage of the UEFA European Championship 2026/27 qualifying campaign have been determined. Following the draw, our team was placed in League B Group 2, where it will face the youth national teams of Turkey, Kosovo, and Gibraltar.
The mini-tournament of the group will take place in Turkey, with matches scheduled for March 24, 27, and 30, 2026.
The draw marked the beginning of a new competition format, which includes three qualifying rounds before the final stage. The first round will be held between March 23 and 31, 2026. Its results will determine which teams advance to League A or drop to League B ahead of the second stage in autumn. The third round will take place in spring 2027, while the final tournament will be held in the summer of the same year in the Czech Republic.
A total of 54 teams will enter the qualification, including the hosts of the final tournament — the Czech Republic. The teams are divided into two leagues: League A, consisting of seven groups of four teams, and League B, which includes five groups of four teams and two groups of three.
Full League B composition:
-
Group B1: Denmark, Romania, Andorra, Liechtenstein
-
Group B2: Turkey, Kosovo, Armenia, Gibraltar
-
Group B3: Slovakia, Belarus, Latvia, San Marino
-
Group B4: Norway, Albania, Luxembourg, Malta
-
Group B5: Netherlands, Faroe Islands, North Macedonia, Moldova
-
Group B6: Northern Ireland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan
-
Group B7: Iceland, Montenegro, Georgia

The distribution of teams into leagues and pots was based on the results of the previous cycle — the second round of the U-17 European Championship 2024/25 — taking into account the positions teams achieved and league movements.
For the Armenian national team, the upcoming tournament will be an important step in the pursuit of reaching the final round among the eight strongest teams in Europe.
