The Armenia U17 national team suffered a defeat in the second round of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifiers. The team coached by Alexander Petrosyan lost 1–3 to Hungary.
The Hungarian side started confidently and had already secured a comfortable 3–0 lead by the 50th minute. Armenia managed to respond only once, as Urartu forward Arsen Arakelyan reduced the deficit by scoring after a corner kick.
For Arakelyan, this goal became his second in the tournament.
In the final round of the group stage, Armenia will face Liechtenstein, who suffered a heavy 0–5 defeat to Luxembourg in a parallel match. The game will take place on April 28.
It is worth noting that all matches of Group 5 are being held in Yerevan. In the first round, Armenia drew with Luxembourg 2–2.
