The Russian mixed martial arts league RCC has announced a major new fight: former UFC fighter and ex–Fight Nights champion Armen “Superman” Petrosyan has signed a bout agreement and will headline RCC 24. His opponent will be the reigning middleweight champion of the organization, Vladislav Belaz.
The main event will take place on December 12 at the massive 12,000-seat UGMK Arena — the venue where Belaz previously made a loud statement by defeating the legendary Alexander Shlemenko and cementing his status as one of the top stars of Russian MMA.
For Petrosyan, the upcoming fight will be his second appearance under the RCC banner. This summer he debuted in the league under kickboxing rules, delivering a bright and competitive fight against Ivan Shtyrkov. Two months later, Armen successfully returned to MMA, finishing Igor Svirid early in Krasnoyarsk.
Now “Superman” is ready to reach a new peak — the five-round fight against the reigning champion Belaz will determine who will hold the RCC middleweight title. This matchup is expected to become one of the most anticipated and intriguing fights of the year’s end.
