On June 27, the official weigh-in for UFC 317 took place in Las Vegas. All fighters involved in the main bouts successfully made weight, including Arman Tsarukyan, who was named as a backup for the lightweight title fight.
Tsarukyan, listed as a backup fighter for the main event, weighed in at 70.31 kg — exactly the same as Ilia Topuria, one of the fighters in the title bout. His opponent, former champion Charles Oliveira, came in at 70.08 kg. Thus, the fight for the vacant UFC lightweight belt is officially confirmed and will go ahead as planned.
The co-main event fighters also successfully made weight. Reigning flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja and his opponent Kai Kara-France both weighed in at 56.7 kg.
