On November 21, the 14th round of the 2025/26 Armenian Premier League kicked off with two matches. The main highlight of the day was the continuation of Ararat-Armenia’s unbeaten run, as the team secured another victory and strengthened their position at the top.
Ararat-Armenia — Ararat 2:1
Manuel Tulipa’s team once again showed character in a tense match against Ararat. The league leaders’ victory came thanks to goals from Armen Ambartsumyan and Hugo Oliveira, both created after precise assists from Artur Serobyan and Araik Eloyan.
Ararat managed to respond only in the final moments: Yaya Sogodogo reduced the deficit after a mistake by Shaghoyan, but the visitors had no time left to save the match.
Yerevan derby: Pyunik — Urartu 1:1
The second match of the day featured a crucial capital derby. Pyunik and Urartu ended in a draw, but the match was filled with intensity and drama.
The score was opened in the 45th minute by the league’s top scorer Bruno Michel, who recorded his 12th goal of the season. However, after the break Urartu complicated their task: in the 67th minute Nicolas Kalukyan received a red card for a foul on Sergey Vakulenko.
Pyunik managed to push through only in the 5th additional minute — the same Vakulenko equalized, restoring justice and denying Urartu an important victory.
Notably, captains of both teams delivered assists: the goals were created by Jirair Margaryan (Urartu) and Edgar Malakyan (Pyunik).
