Ararat-Armenia thrashes Shirak and strengthens second place in the championship

In Matchday 29 of the Armenian Premier League, Ararat-Armenia secured a confident 5–1 victory over Gyumri’s Shirak.

The heroes of the match were Tenton Yenne and Matthew Gbomadu, both scoring twice. The fifth goal came from Zhirayr Shaghoyan. Cedric Doe scored Shirak’s only goal.

Thanks to this win, Ararat-Armenia consolidated second place in the standings with 61 points — five more than third-placed Urartu. The team is 10 points behind leaders Noah.

Shirak remains in sixth place with 29 points.
