Ararat-Armenia sign Portuguese defender Hugo Oliveira

Yerevan-based club Ararat-Armenia continues to strengthen its squad during the summer transfer window. The latest addition is 23-year-old Portuguese right-back Hugo Oliveira.
Last season, Oliveira played on loan for Felgueiras, a Portuguese Second Division team, but due to injury, he only made five appearances. Earlier, in the 2022/23 season, he played in the Portuguese top tier for Vizela, scoring one goal and providing three assists in 14 matches.
Oliveira is already the fifth Portuguese newcomer to join Ararat-Armenia this summer. Previously, the club signed forward Paul Ayongo (Chaves), goalkeeper Bruno Pinto (Felgueiras), and midfielders Balanta (Torrense) and Welton (Paços de Ferreira).
