In Matchday 5 of the Armenian Premier League, Ararat-Armenia secured an impressive comeback win over Ararat with a 4-2 scoreline.
By the 77th minute, Manuel Tulipa’s side was trailing 1-2, but they managed to turn the game around. João Queirós equalized, then Araik Eloyan put Ararat-Armenia ahead by scoring on the rebound after a missed penalty. The final goal was netted by Matthew Gbomadu.
It should be noted that 20-year-old Armenia U21 striker Arayik Eloyan scored the winning goal for the second match in a row.
For Ararat, Khaldi Mustafa and Adama Meïté found the net. Meïté’s goal was especially remarkable as he managed to score from the halfway line (video).
