Ararat-Armenia announce official squad for UEFA Europa League league phase

Ararat-Armenia have unveiled their official squad for the UEFA Europa League league phase. A total of 23 players have been included in List A, while two young players have been registered on List B.

Michel Ayvazyan and Paul Ayongo were left out of the final squad.

At the same time, the decision not to include Ayvazyan raises questions. Under UEFA regulations, clubs may register up to 25 players in List A, provided they have at least eight homegrown players. Ararat-Armenia registered only 23 players, leaving two available spots. It remains unclear why one of those places was not given to academy graduate Michel Ayvazyan, who featured for the club during the Europa League qualifying campaign.
