Yerevan club Ararat-Armenia have been crowned Armenian football champions for the 2025/26 season ahead of schedule. Manuel Tulipa’s team secured the title with one round still to play after the draw between Pyunik and Noah.
Today, Pyunik and Noah played out a 0-0 draw. That result made Ararat-Armenia unreachable for their rivals in the league table. With one round remaining, the new champions have 57 points, while Noah have 53 and Pyunik have 52.
For Ararat-Armenia, this is the third league title in the club’s history. The Yerevan side had previously won the Armenian Premier League in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons. After several years of fighting to return to the top, the club has once again become the strongest team in the country.
The title race could have remained alive until the final round if Noah had managed to beat Pyunik in the postponed match. However, Sandro Perković’s side failed to get the result they needed, and the goalless draw effectively confirmed Ararat-Armenia’s championship.
League table with one round remaining
- Ararat-Armenia — 57 points
- Noah — 53 points
- Pyunik — 52 points
European qualification picture
At the moment, Ararat-Armenia have already secured a place in the Champions League qualifiers. The Yerevan club will start from the first qualifying round.
Noah are second and will enter the Conference League qualifiers, starting from the second round. Pyunik are also already in the European qualification zone and are set to begin from the first qualifying round of the Conference League.
One more European spot remains available. Alashkert and Urartu will battle for it in the final round. Alashkert have 50 points and will face Shirak, who are fighting to stay in the Premier League. Urartu have 49 points and will play against Noah, who have already lost their title chances after the draw with Pyunik.
Current European qualification situation
- Ararat-Armenia — Champions League qualification, 1st round
- Noah — Conference League qualification, 2nd round
- Pyunik — Conference League qualification, 1st round
- Alashkert / Urartu — Conference League qualification, 1st round
Survival battle remains open
In addition to the race for European places, there is still intrigue at the bottom of the table heading into the final round. Shirak are only one point ahead of Ararat.
The Gyumri side will face a highly motivated Alashkert team that needs a result to qualify for Europe. Ararat, meanwhile, will meet BKMA — a team capable of causing problems for any opponent.
The final round of the Armenian Premier League will take place on May 26 and 27. That is when Armenia’s last European representative and the team relegated from the top division will be determined.
