“Andranik” and “Pyunik” advanced to the Armenian Cup quarterfinals

The Armenian Cup continues to bring surprises. Vardenis-based “Andranik” became the first First League team to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament. In the Round of 16, the Gegharkunik side defeated Premier League representative BKMA 2–0. The goals were scored by Japanese midfielder Kai Morozumi and Colombian forward Juan Palacios.
Reigning champions “Pyunik” also confirmed their ambitions for the trophy with a confident 3–0 win over “Gandzasar.” Marius Noubissi, Daniil Kulikov, and Mikhail Kovalenko found the net.
Two more quarterfinal participants will be determined in the coming days. The remaining Round of 16 matches are:
“Sardarapat” — “Ararat”
“Syunik” — “Kilikia”
The winners of these games will complete the list of the eight strongest teams in the Armenian Cup, joining “Andranik,” “Pyunik,” “Noa,” “Ararat-Armenia,” “Urartu,” and “Shirak.”
