Anahit Aroyan Wins WBA Continental Title in Dubai

Armenian boxer Anahit Aroyan (15-1) has claimed the WBA Continental championship title. On September 20 in Dubai, the 26-year-old athlete secured a confident victory over Tanzanian fighter Stumai Muki Paulo (11-6).
After eight rounds, the judges unanimously awarded the win to Aroyan.
Already in the third round, the Armenian managed to knock her opponent down, after which she completely controlled the bout.
For Aroyan, this success marks an important step on her path to the top of the bantamweight division. Before the fight, she was ranked seventh by BoxRec, and now her position in world boxing has significantly strengthened.
Previously, Anahit had also held the WBC Asia belt.
