Anahit Aroyan wins the WBC Asia championship belt

On May 1 in Dubai, an evening of boxing took place where Armenian athlete Anahit Aroyan (13-1) scored an important victory.

Aroyan confidently defeated Indian boxer Renu Phogat (7-3) by unanimous decision after an eight-round bout, capturing the WBC Asia championship belt.

This marks Aroyan’s seventh consecutive win and another title in her professional career. The Armenian boxer from the city of Stepanavan continues her steady rise in the world rankings.
