In the opening match of Matchday 29 of the Armenian Premier League (Fastex Premier League), Yerevan’s Alashkert narrowly defeated Gandzasar 1–0.
The match was held at the “City” Stadium named after Hakob Tonoyan in Armavir. The only goal came in the second half — in the 68th minute, Alashkert striker Pavel Kirenko scored following a corner kick delivered by Petros Avetisyan.
Thanks to this victory, Alashkert ended a four-game winless streak and reached 20 points after 26 matches, sitting in 10th place in the standings. Gandzasar, with one game in hand and only 3 points, remains in last place — 11th in the table.
