Alashkert announce squad for Conference League matches against Yelimay

Alashkert have announced their squad for the first qualifying round of the 2026/27 UEFA Conference League against Kazakhstan’s Yelimay.

The list includes 20 players. Vahe Gevorgyan remains the head coach of the team.

Alashkert were left by Cláider Macedo, Kajally Drammeh, Yuri Gareginian, Serob Grigoryan, Anatoly Ayvazov, Samuel Segun and Caio Henrique during the summer.

Alashkert approach the first qualifying round of the Conference League without major changes to the squad. The team have kept their key players in attack and midfield, while the forward line has even been strengthened by the arrivals of Domi Jaures Massoumou and Philip Edjike.

The main change came in defence: Cláider Macedo has been replaced by another Brazilian defender, Cesar. On paper, this move does not look like a serious downgrade, but much will depend on how quickly the newcomer adapts to the team’s demands and the level of European competition.

Overall, Alashkert can be expected to show a well-organised game in the upcoming matches. The team have kept their core, avoided a major rebuild and should approach the ties against Yelimay in working condition.
