ACA 199: Weigh-in Results. All Armenian Fighters Make Weight

The official weigh-in ceremony for ACA 199 took place in Krasnodar ahead of the tournament scheduled for January 16. Most fighters successfully made weight in their respective divisions, although the weigh-ins were not without major news and significant changes to the fight card.

Four Armenian fighters will compete at the event, and all of them successfully made weight — Zhora Ayvazyan, Gegham Manavzyan, Oganes Voskanyan, and Amazasp Martirosyan. Each fighter met the required limits without any issues and officially confirmed their participation in the tournament.

The main highlight of the weigh-ins was the cancellation of the originally scheduled main event. Alexey Polpudnikov exceeded the lightweight limit by 2 kilograms and 450 grams. According to ACA regulations, if a fighter exceeds the weight limit by more than 2 kilograms, the bout is canceled. As a result, the fight between Polpudnikov and Rasul Magomedov will not take place, leaving the tournament without its planned headliner.

This marks the fourth consecutive time Polpudnikov has failed to make weight. Consequently, the league has decided to automatically move the fighter to the next weight division.

A similar situation occurred with Mukhamed Kokov, who also missed weight for the fourth time in a row. Regardless of the outcome of his bout against Abdul-Rakhman Temirov, Kokov will be moved to the welterweight division.

Following these changes, the new main event of ACA 199 will be a middleweight bout between Artem Frolov and Ramazan Emeev. Additionally, the fight between Gleb Khabibullin and Bagama Nikabagamaev has been promoted to the main card.
