Seven clubs receive licenses for the 2026/2027 Armenian First League season

A meeting of the Licensing Committee of the Football Federation of Armenia was held to discuss the licensing of clubs for participation in the 2026/2027 First League season.

As a result of the meeting, seven clubs received First League licenses:

• Bentonit
• Lernayin Artsakh
• Hayk
• Mika
• Olimpia
• Araks
• Andranik

On May 29, the FFA Licensing Committee reviewed the documents of six clubs that had applied for a First League license. These were NGO FC Bentonit, LLC FC Lernayin Artsakh, NGO FC Hayk, NGO SC Mika, NGO FC Olimpia and NGO FC Ararati Araks.

All six clubs unanimously received licenses, giving them the right to compete in the Armenian First League in the 2026/2027 season.

In addition, in accordance with Article 13.05 of the Regulations on the Licensing of Clubs of the Armenian First League Championship, NGO FC Andranik will also take part in the 2026/2027 First League season.

Thus, a new participant has appeared among the licensed First League clubs — Olimpia. The club will be based in Ashtarak. Renovation work is already underway at the city’s stadium so that the arena will be able to host First League matches.

Earlier, the Football Federation of Armenia also carried out the licensing process for Premier League clubs. As a result of that meeting, 11 clubs received licenses: Alashkert, Pyunik, Van, Urartu, Ararat, Noah, Ararat-Armenia, Shirak, Gandzasar, Syunik and Sardarapat.

It should be noted that club licensing is an important stage in preparations for the new season. It determines which teams receive the right to participate in competitions held under the auspices of the FFA and meet the established requirements in terms of infrastructure, documentation and organizational readiness.
