16-year-old Arno Avetisyan wins international Category 1 tournament in Poland

Sixteen-year-old Armenian tennis player Arno Avetisyan has won the Bohdan Tomaszewski Cup 2026, an international junior tournament held in Poland.
According to the Tennis Federation of Armenia, this is the first victory in Armenia’s history at an international Category 1 junior tournament.
In the singles final, Avetisyan defeated Poland’s Igor Bartnik 6-2, 7-5. During the tournament, the Armenian player also beat three other Polish opponents and one Serbian player.
Avetisyan also claimed the doubles title. Partnering Ukraine’s Vladyslav Bohomolkin, he won the final against a Polish duo 6-2, 6-2.
Avetisyan therefore finished the tournament in Poland with two titles, winning both the singles and doubles events.
