Armenia crowned FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C champions

The Armenia U16 basketball team won the gold medals at the 2026 FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C. In the final of the tournament held in Yerevan, Armenia recorded a convincing 97–68 victory over Malta.
Dmitri Hajyan was the highest scorer of the game. The Armenian guard finished with 32 points, six assists and five rebounds.
Anthony Sarkisyan recorded a double-double with 18 points and 21 rebounds. He also contributed five assists, three steals and three blocks.
Mihail Petrov added another double-double for the champions, finishing with 22 points and 13 rebounds. He also registered five assists, three steals and two blocks. Ethan Kazanjian scored 18 points and provided seven assists.
Following the tournament, Anthony Sarkisyan and Ethan Kazanjian were named to the FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C All-Star Five.
By winning the tournament on home soil, Armenia earned promotion to the FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division B for next year, where 22 teams compete.
