First U17 Wrestling World Championship Finalists Determined: Day 1 Results

The U17 Wrestling World Championships kicked off in Baku on July 27. The opening day featured preliminary and semifinal Greco-Roman wrestling bouts in the 48 kg, 55 kg, 65 kg, 80 kg and 110 kg weight categories.

The first finalists of the tournament were determined following the matches. Three members of the Armenian national team remain in contention for bronze medals.
