Official: Henrikh Mkhitaryan extends Inter contract until 2027

Henrikh Mkhitaryan will continue his career at Inter Milan. The Italian club has officially announced that the 37-year-old Armenian midfielder has extended his contract until 30 June 2027.

Under the new agreement, Mkhitaryan will earn around €2 million per year. This means one of the most experienced players in the Nerazzurri squad will stay with the team for another season and continue his successful story in Milan.

Mkhitaryan joined Inter in the summer of 2022 and became an important part of the team’s midfield from his very first months at the club. The Armenian midfielder quickly established himself thanks to his experience, tactical intelligence, ability to control the tempo of the game and consistency in key matches.

Over four seasons with Inter, Mkhitaryan has made 187 appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 21 assists. With the Milan club, he has won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.

One of Mkhitaryan’s most memorable moments in an Inter shirt came in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against AC Milan, when he scored in the derby. The Armenian midfielder also shone in the Derby della Madonnina in September 2023, scoring twice in Inter’s 5-1 win over Milan.

In the 2025/26 season, Mkhitaryan made 39 appearances and scored four goals. His strikes proved especially important in the decisive stage of the title race — away against Lecce and at home against Parma, where Inter sealed the Scudetto.

The contract extension confirms that Inter still highly value Mkhitaryan’s role both on the pitch and inside the dressing room. Despite his age, the Armenian footballer remains one of the team’s leaders and will continue to fight for trophies with the Milan giants.
