Freestyle Wrestling Draw for the Ranking Tournament in Albania 2026

From February 25 to March 1, the second ranking tournament of the UWW Muhamet Malo Ranking Series will take place in Tirana. The Albanian capital will host one of the most competitive early-season events. Russian wrestlers are entered in the competition, while the Armenian national team will not participate in the tournament.

Special attention is focused on the 97 kg weight category, where Abdulrashid Sadulaev returns to the mat. A potential meeting with reigning world champion Kyle Snyder could become the main highlight of the tournament (they can only meet in the final). The entry list also includes World Championship and Olympic Games medalists from the United States, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and other countries.

Other weight categories have also attracted a strong field: Olympic and World Championship medalists, reigning continental champions, and promising newcomers are entered in Tirana. The tournament promises intense competition already in the preliminary rounds.
