On February 26, the second ranking wrestling tournament "Muhamet Melo" will kick off in Tirana. Six Armenian freestyle wrestlers will compete in the tournament.
The tournament will start on February 26 at 10:30 AM Albanian time. The preliminary matches and finals will take place on the same day.
The "Muhamet Melo" wrestling tournament will be streamed live on the UWW+ platform.
The online broadcast will also be available on our Telegram channel.
On the first day, matches will be held in the 57 kg, 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg, and 86 kg freestyle categories.
First matches of Armenian wrestlers:
- 57 kg (Quarterfinals): Manvel Khndzrtsyan (Armenia) vs. Kento Yumiya (Japan).
- 70 kg (Round of 16): Arman Andreasyan (Armenia) vs. Yoshinosuke Aoyagi (Japan).
- 70 kg (Round of 16): Vazgen Tevanyan (Armenia) vs. Mihail Georgiev (Bulgaria).
- 74 kg (Quarterfinals): Narek Harutyunyan (Armenia) vs. Mohammad Mottagini (Spain).
Hayk Papikyan (79 kg) and Gurgen Simonyan (97 kg) will compete on February 27.
