U23 World Wrestling Championships Draw: Armenian Freestyle Wrestlers Learn Their First Opponents

On October 23, the draw for the U23 World Freestyle Wrestling Championships took place in Novi Sad, Serbia. Participants learned their first-round opponents, and the competition will officially begin on October 24.
According to the schedule:

October 24: wrestlers in the 74 kg and 92 kg categories will compete,
-
October 25: matches in 57, 70, 79, and 125 kg categories,
-
October 26: bouts in 61, 65, 86, and 97 kg categories.
Ten Armenian athletes will represent Armenia at the tournament. Their first opponents are as follows:

57 kg (1/16 finals): Norik Harutyunyan (Armenia) — Maruf Kargbo (Sierra Leone)

61 kg (1/16 finals): Levik Mikaelyan (Armenia) — Reza Momeni (Iran)

The championship will be held from October 24 to 27. The Armenian team aims for strong performances and medals in several weight classes.
Notably, in the 74 kg category, Grigor Cholakyan will compete for Armenia for the first time after transferring from the USA.
