The Armenia U18 women’s junior national team has advanced to the final of the FIBA European Championship Division “C” after a dramatic 57-56 victory over Malta.
The key figure of the match was Seda Gabrielyan, who recorded an impressive double-double. The leader of the Armenian team scored 21 points, grabbed 17 rebounds, delivered 4 assists, and also made 2 steals and 1 block.
The decisive point for Armenia was scored by Susanna Khachatryan, who made a free throw with just 3 seconds remaining in the game.
Armenia’s opponent in the final will be determined by the result of the game between Georgia and Albania. The final will take place tomorrow and will be a chance for the Armenian basketball players to compete for gold medals and promotion to Division “B”.
