Armenia U18 Women’s National Team Wins Silver at FIBA Europe U18 Championship Division C

Andorra, July 27, 2025 — Armenia’s under-18 women’s basketball team finished second at the FIBA Europe U18 Championship Division C, narrowly losing to Georgia in a tense final, 60–63.
The match in Andorra’s capital proved to be a true test for both Armenian and Georgian junior squads. Despite the close defeat, the Armenian players showcased high-level basketball and outstanding team spirit.
18‑year‑old Seda Gabrielian played a pivotal role for Armenia. In the final she led her team with 26 points, 21 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals. Over the course of the tournament in Andorra, Gabrielian averaged 20.3 points per game (3rd in the division), 13 rebounds (division leader), and 5 assists (3rd place).
For her exceptional performance, Seda was named to the symbolic All‑Euro U18 Division C Team, recognized as one of the tournament’s best players.

Seda debuted for Armenia’s national team at age 14 and quickly became a key member of the senior squad. After her brilliant start in Armenia, she continued her career in the United States as a scholarship athlete for the University of New Mexico.
Today, Armenia’s U18 men’s team claimed the bronze medal at the equivalent tournament in Albania.
